Pumpkin Works is a delightful family owned pumpkin patch and outdoor adventure. Although the property is technically near Paris, IL, Pumpkin Works has become a staple in the world of field trips for Vigo County (IN) school children. Part of its appeal is that Pumpkin Works has something for everyone. There are open straw mazes for toddlers and seasonal cutouts for photo opportunities. There are wagon rides, and straw mazes for the whole family. For the more adventurous (adult) types, there are haunted hay mazes in pitch black barns.
Pumpkin works offers 4 different field trip options, depending on the age and needs of the students involved. My aunt recently took students from her elementary MIMH class and they had a wonderful modified tour and wagon ride. Guided trips range from 1-2 hours and cost 4-5 dollars per student.
